La (Alannah Dowling) was the most positive person and conveyed her love of life through her whole being.
Her love of music and young people led her to make an offer in 1991 that brought an extra dimension to her life thereafter. Following a concert in Queen Elizabeth Hall, La offered home to Oleg Kogan, a young Ukrainian cellist, for 6 months. He stayed for over 5 years, only leaving after his marriage to Polina. La helped Oleg to establish his citizenship and was first on the scene to rejoice at the birth of their eldest son Ilya and loved equally his siblings Alexandra, Nelya and Benny. She played an important role in the development of the Razumovsky Ensemble,  bringing her many friends to concerts, organising post-concert dinners and several international musical trips to Istanbul (Turkey) and Bergen (Norway). She encouraged the formation of the Razumovsky Trust (originally Friends of the Razumovsky), which provided important support for the Razumovsky Ensemble and Razumovsky Academy.

La served as a Trustee of the Razumovsky Trust for 15 years from 2005 until 2019. The revenue from the two concerts in her memory will go to the Razumovsky Trust’s Scholarship Fund.
