Ida Haendel, the doyenne of the violin world, was a long-standing Honorary Patron of the Razumovsky Academy. She gave a number of masterclasses for the Razumovsky Academy and gave several recitals and concert performances with the Razumovsky Ensemble, in support of the Razumovsky Academy. Ida Haendel’s Scholarship was awarded to several outstanding young musicians enabling their participation in the Razumovsky Academy programme. In 2011 she took part in Razumovsky Academy/Bergen Festival collaboration, giving violin masterclasses, recitals with Olga Sitkovetsky and performing Brahms Double Concerto for Violin and Cello with Oleg Kogan.
