Mikhail Shilyaev is London-based pianist, composer and piano professor at Trinity Laban. He performs in the UK, Europe and the US at prestigious venues such as Wigmore Hall, Kings Place etc.

He has worked with prominent conductors including Christopher Warren-Green, Pascal Rophé, Nikoloz Rachveli and Gianluca Marcianó.

Mikhail has been taking part in numerous festivals in Europe including Zaubersee festival in Lucerne and Suoni dal Golfo in La Spezia, Italy. He collaborated with distinguished singers and instrumentalists such as Anush Hovhannisyan, Yuri Yurchuk, Alexander Melnikov, Alexei Lubimov, Boris Brovtsyn and Anastasia Kobekina, to name just a few.

He has recently released two critically acclaimed CDs on Toccata Classics and Stone Records. His new CD recorded on a historical Bechstein piano has been released by Willowhayne Records along with a digital release of Chopin’s works on Donemus.

Mikhail’s programme of this recital is dedicated to three composers whose revolutionary works have changed musical history.
